If your pursuers discover you and catch up, you'll have to fight to protect Makoto. Get close to clusters of people on the street and press Tips to hide from your pursuers. Places you can hide are marked with Tips on the map.
While a pursuer is trying to drag Makoto away during battle, her health will drop due to the struggle. If her health reaches zero, the game will end, so avoid being discovered as you head for the destination.
